IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ISIA 2022 AUTHORS

Because of uncertainties related to Covid 19, ISIA 2022, currently planned as an in-person event to be held in M'sila, Algeria, may be conducted in a hybrid format. If the conference format is hybrid, authors of accepted papers will be able to decide to present their papers either virtually or in-person in M'sila.

However, if the pandemic worsens, the conference will be completely virtual as it was in 2020, and all presentations will be done virtually. We will announce in the submission acceptance letters to authors whether the conference will be hybrid or virtual. Registration fees will be adjusted to reflect the format of the conference.

About ISIA'22

After the success of four previous editions of ISIA symposium, ISIA 2020, ISIA 2018, ISIA 2016, ISIA 2014, the Computer Science Department of Mohamed Boudiaf University of M'sila (Algeria) organizes the fifth edition of this symposium (ISIA'22) during November 29-30, 2022. The 5th International Symposium on Informatics and its Applications will provide an exciting opportunity for researchers and practitioners to share ideas and experiences in different topics of computer science and their applications. The Symposium looks for significant contributions to all major fields of computer science in theoretical and practical aspects.

We invite researchers and scholars to submit their papers for the conference to be held on November 29-30, 2022. Papers must be written in English, should not exceed 6 pages, using the IEEE standard template. For your paper preparation, you have to follow IEEE templates: https://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html .

Papers should be submitted electronically as pdf format without author(s) name. Only original works will be considered. Hence, authors should make sure that their submissions do not substantially overlap works that have been already published or simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

Double Blind Evaluation

In order to increase high quality papers and independent merit, the evaluation process is double blind.
Important Note for Double blind review policy: The papers submitted for review MUST not contain the authors’ names, affiliations, or any information that may disclose the authors’ identity (this information is to be restored in the camera-ready version upon acceptance).


Publication

The authors of the distinguished papers from ISIA’22 conference will be invited to submit a revised and extended version of their paper to special issues of well indexed international journals (Pending Journals Approval).
Conference proceeding will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore.


Best Paper Award

Keynotes

Title : Pattern mining : some recent results and research opportunities
Speaker : Dr. Farid Nouioua, Associate Professor at Universityof BBA (Algeria)
Short Biography: Farid Nouioua is currently an associate professor in computer science at the University of Bordj Bou Aréridj. Previously, he was an assistant professor at Aix-Marseille University from 2008 to 2017. He received his engineer degree in 1997 and his Magister in 2002 both in computer science from the University of Sétif, Algeria. Then, he received his MSc degree in Artificial Intelligence and Combinatorial Optimization in 2003 and his PhD in Computer Science in 2007 from Paris-Nord University, France. In 2016, he received his HDR in Computer Science from Aix-Marseille University, France. He has around 50 research papers in international conference proceedings and journals. His research topics include: Data Mining, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning and Diagnosis in Discrete Event Systems.
Title : Understanding the Potential of CAVs and Autonomous UAVs in Enabling Future Cities Vision
Speaker : Dr. Soufiene Djahel, Senior Lecturer at the University of Huddersfield (UK)
Short Biography: Soufiene Djahel is a Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security at the University of Huddersfield (UK) and a Visiting Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science at University College Dublin (Ireland). He was the founder and head of the Smart and Sustainable Cities (S2C) lab within the department of computing and mathematics at Manchester Met Univ. from 2017 until August 2022. Dr. Djahel holds Ph.D, M.Sc., and Engineer degrees in computer science from Lille 1 University of Science and Technology, France, University Abderrahmane-Mira, Algeria, and University Badji-Mokhtar, Algeria, respectively. He published more than 70 peer-reviewed research articles in international journals and conferences on wireless networks, network security, intelligent transportation systems, e-healthcare and IoT. He supervised to successful completion 5 Ph.D. students and 23 Master students, and currently supervising 4 Ph.D. students. He served as Engineering Research Manager at University College Dublin, Ireland; Postdoctoral Fellow at ENSIEE, France; Associate Lecturer and Researcher at Lille 1 University of Science and Technology, France; and Teaching Assistant at IMT Nord Europe, France. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK and the Vice-Chair of the IEEE TCGCC SIG on Green Internet of Vehicles. Dr. Djahel is regularly invited to undertake different leadership roles in several IEEE sponsored international conferences; and serves as expert reviewer for three European research councils. He is the recipient of the FY2021 JSPS Invitational Fellowship for Research in Japan award from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
