The Veterinary Science<\/strong> department at the University of M\u2019sila was inaugurated during the 2023\/2024 academic year, marking a significant addition to the university and the academic landscape in the region. This opening addresses the growing need for animal healthcare and the improvement of livestock production, in addition to the importance of veterinary sciences in environmental and public health fields.<\/p>

Number of Enrolled Students:<\/strong>
In the first year of the department’s establishment, 60 students were enrolled in the first year, following the new teaching curricula designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of veterinary sciences through an approach that combines theoretical knowledge and practical training. These curricula were developed to align with international standards and meet the local job market needs in veterinary medicine.<\/p>

Objectives of the Veterinary Science Department:<\/strong>
Comprehensive Education:<\/strong> Train students to become specialized veterinarians by equipping them with the necessary knowledge about animal health, diseases, anatomy, and nutrition.
Practical Training:<\/strong> Provide field training opportunities in veterinary clinics and farms, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical environments.
Scientific Research:<\/strong> Support and encourage scientific research in veterinary medicine to improve treatment methods, prevent animal diseases, and foster innovation in livestock production.<\/p>
