This body is established at the level of the Dean&#8217;s Office of the Faculty. Its goal is to provide <b>opinions and recommendations<\/b> for the development of the Faculty, participate in the preparation and execution of the <b>budget<\/b>, and all activities related to the Faculty.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Composition of the Faculty Council<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Faculty Council consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <b>Dean of the Faculty<\/b>, who serves as the <b>Chairman<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>The <b>Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Faculty<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Heads of Departments<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Directors of Laboratories<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Two elected representatives<\/b> of the teaching staff from each department, chosen from among the professors with the <b>highest rank<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Two elected representatives<\/b> of the Assistant Professor body.<\/li>\n<li><b>One elected student representative<\/b> from each department.<\/li>\n<li><b>Two elected representatives<\/b> of the administrative, technical, and service staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Vice-Deans, the Secretary-General, and the Head of the Faculty Library attend the meetings in a <b>consultative capacity<\/b> (without voting rights).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>\ud83c\udfaf Duties of the Faculty Council<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Faculty Council studies and proposes all measures likely to <b>improve the functioning of the Faculty<\/b> and encourage the achievement of its objectives, and provides its opinion on any matter submitted to it by the Dean.<\/p>\n<p>Its main duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Future development prospects<\/b> for the Faculty.<\/li>\n<li><b>Programming of training and research activities<\/b> within the Faculty, and prospects for national and international scientific cooperation.<\/li>\n<li><b>Programming of continuous training<\/b>, level improvement, and knowledge renewal activities.<\/li>\n<li>Studying the <b>draft budget<\/b> of the Faculty and the <b>annual report of the Faculty&#8217;s activities<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>The draft <b>human resources management plan<\/b> for the Faculty.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting of <b>contracts and agreements<\/b> for studies, expertise, and service provision guaranteed by the Faculty.<\/li>\n<li>Faculty management and studying the <b>annual activity report<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Implementing rules related to <b>student attendance<\/b> and the system of courses and lectures.<\/li>\n<li>Determining the Faculty&#8217;s needs for <b>teaching and administrative staff<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Determining the Faculty&#8217;s needs for <b>equipment<\/b> and other operational materials, and setting their specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Giving its opinion on any matter submitted by the Dean.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>\ud83d\udd2c Role of the Scientific Council (within the context of the Faculty Council)<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Faculty&#8217;s Scientific Council (as part of the consultation process) is responsible for providing its opinions and recommendations regarding the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <b>organization and content of education<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>The <b>organization of research work<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Proposals for <b>research programs<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Proposals for the <b>opening, renewal, or closure of post-graduate<\/b> (doctoral) specializations, and determining the number of positions to be filled.<\/li>\n<li>The <b>outcome\/assessment of post-graduate training<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Faculty <b>publications<\/b> and the organization of <b>scientific events<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>The Council <b>approves the research topics<\/b> proposed by post-graduate students and monitors post-graduate dissertations.<\/li>\n<li>It studies the <b>reports on the pedagogical and scientific activities<\/b> of the Faculty, which the Dean sends to the University Rector, accompanied by its opinions and recommendations.
