At the conclusion of the scientific forum titled <\/span>“Research Techniques in Media and Communication Sciences: Issues and Challenges in the Digital Environment,”<\/span><\/em> which brought together a distinguished group of professors, researchers, and graduate students to examine key issues surrounding the evolution of scientific research in media and communication studies amid rapid digital transformations, and following valuable scholarly presentations and fruitful discussions, the participants hereby issue the following set of recommendations aimed at advancing research in this field:<\/span><\/div>\n

First: Methodological Aspects<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

  • Emphasize the necessity of developing research methodologies that align with the specificities of the digital environment, while strengthening the integration of quantitative and qualitative approaches.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Call for the expanded use of big data analytics techniques in media studies.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Encourage the application of artificial intelligence in analyzing media content and discourses. Develop innovative methods for coding extensive digital hyperlink networks, and reinforce standards of validity and reliability.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Promote the adoption of a hybrid approach based on human-AI integration: utilizing AI for preliminary analysis, followed by human intervention for in-depth interpretation of results.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
