Abstract:

This study aims to shed light on one of the most important topics of the day in Algeria, it’s about economy diversification and the importance of small and medium enterprises to achieve this goal.

Results of this study revealed that SMEs in Algeria do not play significant role in expanding the production base, as well as upgrading and diversifying the structure of exports, which still formed mainly from oil exports. All this calls for finding effective mechanisms to make from these enterprises the pivot to diversify and develop the Algerian economy.
