Abstract:
The study aimed to analyze indicators of the orientation towards the knowledge economy in the USA and China, as a dimension of strengthening international competitiveness. The results concluded that the USA still maintains priority over China in many areas related to education, research, development, and the conditions and factors that support this, thanks to the great financial and economic potentials that they have, which gave them priority to access many scientific fields which requires significant expenditure and is the first to do so. Despite this, China is one of the most important competitors of USA in technology, and it makes annual qualitative leaps in innovation and knowledge, which can enable it in the future to reach l 'self-sufficiency in applications and technological innovations, with the achievement of advanced levels to create, develop and control knowledge.
