his study aims to know the reality of the application of management control as well as the techniques and tools used by public health establishments. As well as, the planning of the objectives of these establishments and the processes followed to reach them. In addition to the methods and bases for allocating resources to achieve the objectives set. Also, the interest in measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of resources. The most important conclusions are as follows: The absence of a clear vision of the future of management control to become an important and present tool in hospitals. The means of defining operational and medium-term objectives do not follow clear steps and procedures known to those involved in the process. It was also clear to us that the methods and means of allocating resources to the achievement of specific objectives were not in accordance with management control.  With regard to performance indicators and their use, the rare indicators used by these public health institutions have been limited to providing confused and uncoordinated information.
