Abstract:
This contribution consists in studying the role of local actors in the development of local
tourism as well as their contribution in improving the image of the tourist destination. The
methodology is based on the exploitation of the survey data targeting local actors of the city of
Bejaia. This approach helps throwing light on their involvement in improving tourist destination
and structuring local tourist development plans. The survey results show that the lack of
coordination and communication between the actors is largely due to the absence of an interaction
leading to a consensual decision necessary to achieve common goals in favour of tourism.
