Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the debate on the role of the information system
improving the performance of the firm by presenting a theoretical model that highlight this relationship. We
conducted a qualitative study with some firms to assess the impact of the IS on the performance.
The analysis shows that the IS is one the factors of the increase of the quantified results and positively
influence the subjective variables of organizational performance.
