L’impact des mécanismes de gouvernance internes et externes sur la performance financière des banques en Algérie

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to determine the impact of internal and external governance mechanisms on the financial performance of banks in Algeria. In particular, we focused on the analysis of the effect of board characteristics (size, percentage of external directors, duality), ownership structure (ownership identity) and prudential regulation represented by the capital adequacy ratio. The statistical analysis of data from 11 algerian banks confirms some assumptions and show that there is a significant relationship between certain governance mechanisms and financial performance of banks in Algeria.
