Retraite et niveau de vie des chefs de ménages âgées de 60 ans et plus

Abstract: In 2015, Algeria counted 3,484,000 people aged over then 60 years, more than 2 Million are
retired according to the ONS and the CNR. These situations led us to analyze the impact of the pension
system on the standard of living of the elderly. We will use data from MICS 2006 for the impact study. Our
results show strong gender inequalities in this category. We used several data to give a frame of the elderly
situation.
