Regional Investment Opportunities Map Study Day in the State of M’sila

On Monday, March 06, 2023, the University of M’sila held the Regional Investment Opportunities Map Study day in the Lecture Hall of Ibn al-Haytham at 9:00 am. The state governor Mr, Abdul Kader Djalawi, oversaw the opening of the study day. The study day was organized by the National Centre for Population and Development Studies and Analysis, in coordination with all municipalities and departments of the state, state directorates, committees of the People’s State Assembly, and the University of M’sila. The study day was attended by the governor of the state, President of the People’s State Assembly, Secretary-General of the State, Rector of the University of M’sila, heads of departments, executive directors, chairpersons of committees of the People’s State Assembly, Chairpersons of municipal people’s councils, directors of support agencies and banking institutions, Heads of farming chambers, trade and traditional industry, representative of the National Observatory of Civil Society Office and the media family.

At the beginning of the meeting, a welcoming speech was presented by the rector of M’sila university Professor Ammar Budallaa, followed directly by the state governor’s words, in which he addressed the importance of completing this study to boost the success of the local and national development equation, and the optimal investment of the state’s capacities, resources and capabilities in the most appropriate way to create wealth and positions of employment, after which he announced the official opening of the events of this study day.

The study day underlined a fruitful programme, and several interventions along with the intervention of the expert of the National Centre for Studies and Analysis of Population and Development (CENEAP), Mr Djeffel Djaafar where he provided an Explanation of the methodology for preparing the examination of investment opportunities and how to enrich it in coordination with all interventions and orators, after which several interventions and other presentations were performed by each of the industry director, Director of Peasant Interests, Director of Tourism, Director of Transport, Director of Environment, Governor of Forestry of the State’s Development. After that, the Director of the Institute of Urban Technology, Dr. Milly Mohamed, made a presentation on investment opportunities in the state of M’sila.

The study day aimed to prepare and enrich the regional map of investment opportunities in the state By explaining the methodology of including the human and natural potential of the state municipalities within comprehensive information to serve as a blue road and a basic reference on which investors depend to determine their economic choices in line with the specificity of the chosen location and the appropriate economic scheduling for the successful reflection of their projects on the ground.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the discussion was opened for all participants to enrich the study, and the state’s governor was gifted a regional map of investment in the state made by Professor Mohamed Milley, Director of the Institute of the Management of Urban Technologies.
