Study day on Electronic Litigation

On Saturday, May 27, 2023, the University of Mohamed Boudiaf in M’sila hosted a study day entitled: “Electronic Litigation” at the Ibn Al-Haytham Auditorium. The event was organized by the M’sila Judicial Council in collaboration with the University of Mohamed Boudiaf in M’sila.

The study day was attended by esteemed guests including the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Kamel Bedari, the Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Mr. Abderrachid Tabi, and the Wali of M’sila, Mr. Abdelkader Djellaoui.

Other attendees included the President of the Provincial People’s Council, members of the Security Committee, members of both Chambers of the Parliament, the Head of M’sila Judicial Council, the Attorney General of M’sila Judicial Council, the Rector of the University of M’sila, the Local Delegate of the Mediator of the Republic, the Head of the Municipality Council of M’sila, representatives from the University and Justice families, and members of the media.

The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the Algerian national anthem. The rector of the university, Professor Ammar Boudalaa, delivered a welcoming speech, followed by a speech from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, highlighting the digital transformation in the sector and the efforts to modernize administration.

Subsequently, the Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Abderrachid Tabi, presented an allocation discussing the seminar’s topic, which was a part of the ongoing modernization of the justice sector in alignment with the technological revolution affecting all sectors. The aim was to facilitate administrative and judicial procedures for citizens across the country.

During the study day, several presentations were delivered by teachers and judges, including:

Omar Hattache’s presentation on “The Legal Framework of Electronic Litigation.”

Abdelghani Matmat’s presentation on “Electronic Litigation in Civil Cases.”

Khaled Alwani’s presentation on “The Role of Electronic Litigation in Improving Judicial Performance.”

Additionally, Houcine Laissaoui made a presentation.

The study day concluded with discussions, the reading of recommendations, and the distribution of participation certificates to the lecturers.
