1st PhD thesis defense by videoconference at the Faculty of Technology

The use of technology, zero paper strategy and the digitalization adopted by University of M’sila are applied even for doctoral thesis defense. Thus, the University of M’sila, represented by the faculty of technology, carried out a defense of a doctoral science thesis, prepared by the student: Layadi Noureddine, with the title:

«Fault Tolerant Control of the Asynchronous Double Star Machine »

It was the first defense of a 3rd Cycle doctorate at the Faculty of Technology by videoconference with the University of Nantes, Department of Electrical Engineering in the presence of the members of the jury: Professor Ben Kheris Mohamed Fouad of University of Nantes France, Professor Khemliche Mabrouk University of Sétif,  Saoudi Kamel of the University of Bouira, Ben Yettou Lotfi of the university of M’sila, chaired by Khoudja Djaleleddine University of M’sila, supervised the teacher reporters Mr. Zeghlache Samir and Berabeh Fouad from University of M’sila.The defense was carried out by videoconference and without paper, for 3 hours in a row. Doctoral students at the faculty were invited to attend the defense in order to benefit from this experience. Thus, this method is applied to consume less paper at university and save on the mobility costs of researchers through the use of technology. This method was well received by the juries, the external member from France and the teachers from the faculty.
