We are excited to announce an upcoming volume titled:
“Between Roots and Routes: Narratives of Diaspora, Identity, and Belonging”
This collection seeks to explore the rich and complex themes of diasporic literature, including displacement , identity, belonging, and the redefinition of “home.” We invite scholars, researchers, and writers to contribute chapters that engage with these pressing questions:
🔹 How do diasporic narratives challenge rigid conceptions of identity and belonging?
🔹 What role do memory, language, and storytelling play in shaping diasporic experiences?
🔹 How can literature bridge cultural divides and foster empathy in a globalized world?
Sub-themes include:
– Memory and nostalgia in diasporic narratives
– Gender, race, and class in diasporic identities
– The Redefinition of “Home” and Belonging in Transnational Contexts
– The Impact of Migration and Displacement on Language and Storytelling
– The Role of Translation in Bridging Cultural and Linguistic Divides
– The Role of Diasporic Literature in Challenging National and Cultural Boundaries
– The Interplay Between Diaspora and Postcolonialism in Literary Discourse
📌 Submission Guidelines:
– 300-word abstract + bio note
– Deadline: May 15, 2025
– Full chapters (6,000–8,000 words) due July 15, 2025
