The meeting was opened by the interim Rector of the University of M’sila, Prof. Hachemi Ben Ouadah, after welcoming all the audience. The meeting adopted the following agenda:

 

  • Digitization
  • Digital Marketing
  • Pedagogical situation
  • D-Space Status, statistics compared to other national universities, Status of managers of laboratories whose term of office is over
  • Financial situation
  • Administrative situation
  • Miscellaneous

 

01/- Digitization:

Many points have been discussed about the digital platforms during this week:

*Backlinks: In this regard, the manager of the Network Center, Lakhdari Abdallah, presented the statistics on the state of the external links of the university this week, according to each faculty and institute. It was agrred to step up work in this context.

*Electronic signature system (Electronic parapheur): A presentation on administrative e-correspondence was made according to each service at the university; which reached 320 certified correspondence in the last two weeks.

*Complaints and enquiries platform: 21 enquiries were received, 17 of which have been answered and 04 still being processed.

Regarding the management of the monitoring office of the digital strategy, Dr. Fares Mezrag has been appointed as president, who will be responsible of the tasks according to the instructions of the supervising ministry. He will present in the next meeting an explanatory presentation on the roadmap adopted by the Office.

Dr. Fares Mezrag made an explanatory presentation on the adopted roadmap according to the Master plan of digitization of the supervising ministry.

Training sessions have been organized during this week by the digitization directorate, on the ways of publication on Moddle platform for the professors, the acquisition of information technology and how to deal with computers and programs, and the use of advanced level of Excel for administrators and technical staff in the faculty of humanities and social science.

02/- E-learning:

A report was presented on the e-learning process from 24 November to 7 December, 2022; the number of users reached 4530, with a number of 9800 downloaded files/day.

Platform of Student Portal: On the other hand, a presentation was made on the digital student space of the DWS to explain the method of dissemination, and which also includes the statistics of administrative minutes and announcements according to each faculty and institute during the period from November 24 to December 07.

*Platform of final diploma: 129 requests are registered this week, 86 of which are issued and the rest are still being processed.

Platform of “Report your concerns“: It is a new platform, designed by the student organization “ONSE”, represented by the student Madjidi Idris. It deals with the students concerns and complaints  at the university and university services.

03/- Digital marketing:

The university situation among national and international rankings is presented by Dr. Boudia Issam; Qs-Impact ranking-D-space.

 

04/-  Pedagogical situation:

The vice-rector of Pedagogy, Dr. Bissar Abdelmotaleb, the deans of faculties and the directors of institutes made a presentation on the pedagogical situation during the last period on the pedagogical calendar, Master 01 students cards availability, posting on the student portal, the exams schedule in coordination with the groups representatives and the decentralization of pedagogy; it was agreed:

  • Continue holding pedagogical meetings and the subjects committees meetings in faculties and institutes; with the need to send the recorded minutes to the vice-rectorate of pedagogy.
  • the need to expand the deployment process on DWS.
  • Holding pedagogical meetings with students representatives to prepare the exams schedules and make the modules in order.
  • The announcement of Semester 01 exams schedule next week on the official websites an digital platforms of the university according to the previously agreed agenda
  • The need to distribute Master 01 students cards, issued by the faculty of arts and languages, faculty of economics, humanities and social science, technology, except the major of renewable energies next week before the exams period.
  • Entrust the completion of students cards to the faculties and institutes from the beginning of the next university year.
  • Autonomy of faculties and institutes concerning the archiving of students files from the beginning of the next new university year 2022/2023 “Decentralization of pedagogy”.
  • Professors must sign in presence the exit reports on December 22, 2022
  • Listen to students concerns by their representatives.

 

05/- Dspace:

Regarding the situation of Dspace, Prof Boudrah Brahim, presented the state of play of the institutional repository of the university, as well as the situation of laboratories concerning the unused equipments and tools. It was agreed to entrust the laboratories budget to the faculties and institutes from January 1, 2023, according to the provided laws.

Also, the PhD offers of this year 2022/2023 and the preparation process for this competition were discussed according to the instructions of the supervising ministry.

At the end of this meeting, different points have been discussed, as follows:

  • Absence of professors and employees, the real needs of security agents, sanitation workers and the digital fingerprint at the level of faculties and institutes.
  • A presentation on the central heating at the university was made by the vice-rector of development and foresight Prof. Djerad Abdelkader, including the heating works and the certified report and recording the university needs concerning the development and rehabilitation projects.

The meeting was adjourned the same day at 18:00.
