Minutes of the Coordinating and Consultative Council meeting N°189

On Wednesday, the eighteenth of October, in the year two thousand and twenty-three, the consultative coordinating council meeting number “189” was held in the meeting hall on the fifth floor of the university presidency, starting at 1:00 PM, chaired by the University Director, Professor Ammar Boudelaa, and in the presence of the gentlemen:

The session was opened by Professor Ammar Boudelaa, the University President, who welcomed the attendees and then addressed the following agenda items:

  • Pedagogical and administrative status in the faculties and institutes.
  • External relations.
  • University visibility.
  • Miscellaneous.

At the beginning of the meeting, the University Director recommended the participation of the university community in the national solidarity stand scheduled by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in support of the Palestinian cause at Victory Square in the province.

The Director also called for the proper organization of the first training day on psychological care in the university environment, scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the University of Mohamed Boudiaf in M’sila, in the Grand Lecture Hall Abd al-Madjid Allahom.

Agenda Items:

Faculty of Arts and Languages:

The Dean, Professor Amar Benlokrichi, presented an overview of the administrative, pedagogical, and scientific activities at the faculty for the academic year 2023/2024. The presentation included statistics and figures related to course progress, pedagogical support for first-year students, doctoral students, discussions at the third level, academic qualification, university research projects, scientific activities in the faculty’s laboratories, internship consumption at the faculty until October 15, 2023, the count of employees and professors, agreements concluded by the faculty, the program of scientific, cultural, and sports activities, and a financial overview.

Faculty of Economic and Commercial Sciences and Management Sciences:

The Dean, Professor Khatim Mohamed, presented on pedagogical activities, scientific research, and the situation of employees, the budget, works, and security at the faculty.

Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science:

The Dean, Professor Nouri Ibrahim, presented figures and statistics regarding the number of students, pedagogical structures, professor employment, research projects, and short-term internships at the faculty, as well as the count of employees and approved works for preparation at the faculty.

Scientific Research:

The Deputy University Director for Scientific Research, Professor Hasbaia Mahmoud, presented the current situation of scientific laboratories at the university, suggesting the possibility of establishing a dedicated laboratory for each department at the Faculty of Economic and Commercial Sciences and Management Sciences.

External Relations:

The Deputy University Director for External Relations, Professor Hachemi Benouadeh, presented data on the consumption of short-term internships abroad for the academic year 2022/2023 until October 16, 2023. He emphasized the need to adhere to the following recommendations: the necessity of utilizing credits before December 10, 2023, and enabling administrative staff to benefit from internships abroad if credits are not consumed by the faculties and institutes before November 15, 2023.

University Visibility:

Dr. Issam Boudia discussed the overall national and international rankings related to the University of M’sila and the progress of its work.
