The President of the University, Professor Ammar BOUDALAA, opened the session, welcomed the attendees, and then touched on the following agenda:

– The outputs of the government-Wali’s (local governors) meeting held on January 19, 2023,

– digitization of university structures,

– the pedagogical outcome,

The outcome of the doctoral entrance Contests,

– digitization,

– The weekly activities of the business incubator.

1- The outputs of the government-Wali’s (local governors) meeting held on January 19,

In this regard, the Director of the University of M’sila, Professor Ammar BOUDALAA, presented a reading of outputs of of the government’s meeting with the governors of the provinces republic held on January 19, 2023, in which the university can participate and contribute according to the recommendations. Among the most important recommendations:

– Scheduling sensitizing days for rationalization and balanced use of water, gas and electricity,

– digitization of the agricultural sector,

-Contribute to the programming of awareness campaigns on tourism,

– Formation of a committee to study and improve the yield of agricultural crops in the cereal division,

– Formation of a committee to study medicinal herbs and improve their yield in pharmaceutical production,

2- Digitization of University Structures:

In this regard, all faculties and institutes have been contacted to conduct a report on the university’s structures in order to digitize them through the formation of committees at the level of each faculty and institute.

3- The pedagogical outcome:

Regarding the progress of the pedagogical work, a presentation was conducted, this week, by the Deputy Rector of the University in charge Pedagogy, Professor BISSAR Abdel Mouttalib  that includes the statistics of the process of importing exam marks into the ministerial platform, Progress, according to each college and institute. The process reached a percentage of almost 80%, pending the completion of what remains of the deliberations process.

The pedagogical course this week was marked by the start of the second semester for the academic year 2023-2024, and field visits were programmed by the Vice rector of the University in charge for Pedagogy to check on the progress of the lessons.

In another dimension, a presentation was also conducted by Professor Professor BISSAR Abdel Mouttalib whose most important points include proposals: reorganizing fields, divisions, and training, including grouping divisions according to the proposed fields and reducing them from 84 to 38 divisions. In addition, to proposals to establish university poles, a 4-year bachelor’s degree, and the simultaneous study of two degrees with the same baccalaureate.

 

4- The doctoral entrance Contests 2023-2024

In this regard, this week, the second PhD contests enterance for the academic year 2023-2024 was held at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences on Saturday, January 28, 2023, for the following branches:

– Media and Communication Sciences: the two specialities in Communication and Public Relations, and Audiovisual,

-Sociology, specializing in organization and work.

– Islamic sciences: the two specialities: jurisprudence and its principles, Sharia and law,

Results were announced on the second day the contest, while the process is still underway in preparation for the remaining contests in various faculties according to the schedule put in advance.

5- Digitization:

In terms of digitization for this week, the following were discussed:

– The outcome of the work of the committee in charge of restoring the university site,

– The results of the university’s ranking within the Google Scholar, Webometrics classification

-university status vis a vis visibility,

– Statistics on the electronic complaints and correspondence platform.

 6- The weekly activities of the business incubator.

This week at the University of M’sila, business incubator the process of evaluating students’ ideas projects has started in implementation of the content of Resolution 1275. The students’ projects from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, the Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Economic and Commercial Sciences and Management Sciences were examined, in the presence of the incubator’s director and in presence of his administrative staff: Depute-deans, heads of departments, departments and fields, expert professors and supervisors of students’ work, as well as expert professors-members of the faculties evaluation committee.
