The rector of the University, Professor Ammar BOUDALAA, opened the meeting, welcomed the attendees, and then tackled the following schedule:

– Ministry’s correspondences (ministère de tutelle)

– Pedagogical situation

-Scientific research

– Short-term internships and scientific events for the year 2023-2024

– Digitization

-Miscellaneous

1- Ministry’s correspondences (ministère de tutelle)

To begin with, the Rector of the University was heard regarding the ministry’s correspondences during this week, particularly with regard to:

-Decision No. 189 of February 14, 2023 defining the branch code for the field of “Architecture” “Omran” and “City Professions” / Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

– Correspondence No. 101 of February 16, 2023 vis à vis to the organization of pre-promotion and preparatory training, based on the reference to the regulatory texts linked to pre-promotion and preparatory training.

– Correspondence No. 423 issued on February 23, 2023 from the Directorate of Water Resources, including the participation in the preparation for the World Water Day (March 22, 2023), and it was agreed that the university’s proposal should be prepared before March 09, 2023 by the College of Technology.

– Correspondence No. 379 issued on February 14, 2023, apropos the announcement of candidacy for maritime relations and sea rights, DAOLOS.

-Correspondence related to the celebration of the International Women’s Day, March 8, 2023. In this regard, the Secretary General of the University, in coordination with the Sub-Directorate of Means and Maintenance, was commissioned to have a ceremony for the occasion in the Ibn Al-Haytham’s Hall in the morning of March 8th, 2023.

2-Pedagogical situation

Regarding the progress of the pedagogical work, a detailed presentation was communicated, this week, by the Deputy Rector of the University in charge Pedagogy, Professor Abdelmoutaleb BISSAR, dealing with:

-The process of lessons giving in the second semester.

– Addressing the concerns raised by the students, especially those related to the disciplinary councils.

-Announcing the re-sit exams program for second-year master students via the student space, starting from March 05, 2023.

3-Scientific research

In this regard, the Deputy Rector in charge for Scientific Research, Prof Brahim BOUDERAH conducted a presentation that comprised of statistics for the process of conducting doctoral contests for the academic year 2023-2024 at the University of M’sila in the period from January 21 to February 11, 2023 to February 15, 2023, where  the number of successful students from the University of M’sila in various universities of the country was also counted, estimated at 187 students covering all branches and disciplines.

Prof BOUDERAH also presented a summary of the process of listing and uploading the results of the doctoral contests on the Progress platform, where all colleges and institutes were contacted to start meetings with successful students and provide doctoral topics to them, and CFD committees were also contacted to include successful students on the PRFU 2023 platform.

In addition to what has already been mentioned, the installation of the local committee for the first year Ph.D. 2023 of the University of M’sila, was held under the supervision of the Rector of the University, Prof. Ammar BOUDALAA and in the presence of the head of the National Committee, Prof Benyamina Said. The committee is headed by the Deputy Rector in charge for Scientific Research. The committee comprises of the following names:

– Dr. Jdalloul MAGOURA (Philosophy)

– a. Dr. FERNINI (English)

-Dr. Azzedinne AMEUR (Ditactique)

-Dr. Noureddine AMRAOUI (TIC)

 

According to the instructions of the Rector of the University, a public meeting will be scheduled to congratulate and honour students who passed the Ph.D. contests 2023, including all the students from the University of M’sila in various universities of the country. The ceremony will be held on Thursday, March 09, 2023 at 10:00  in Ibn Al-Haytham Hall, the North Pole of the Msila’s University.

During this meeting, the status of the 35 laboratories in the university was discussed. The directors of the laboratories and the deans of the faculties were contacted, stresssing the need to provide the Deputy Rectorate for Scientific Research with the scientific activities of the laboratories at the university level for this year.

 

4- Digitization

Regarding digitization for this week, the status of the following digital platforms was discussed:

*Parapheur Electronique: A current presentation of the electronic administrative portfolio platform was presented according to each of the university’s interests, as the total number of this week reached 239 indexed correspondence.

* Complaints and Inquiries platform: 14 new concerns were received this week, and are still being processed.

5- Short-term internships and scientific events for the year 2023-2024

In this regard, the Vice Rector for External Relations, prof. Hachemi BENOUADAH communicated a presentation that contains clarifications regarding short internships abroad for the year 2023, as the DWS platform for receiving the files of nominated professors will be closed on March 15, 2023, followed by the candidacy button will be activated and the deputy deans for scientific research will be included in the drip of the concerned files.

As for international and national scientific manifestations, they will follow the previously set conditions.

6-Miscellaneous

At the end of the session, several points were dealt with, the most important of which are:

– The method of preparing and signing the agreements of the university and its partners,

– Preparing the quality file and updating the company’s project file

– The status of the university D-Space and how the way to improve the status of the university in terms of research and scientific publications

Presentation on digital platforms for the conduct or management of educational work.
