Tasks and Departments of the Vice-Rectorate for Planning, Development and Foresight

The Vice-Rectorate for Planning, Development and Foresight is responsible for the following :
1. Collecting the necessary elements for the preparation of the university's development plans.
2. Conducting all foresight studies on the expected evolution of the student population of the university and proposing all measures to take care of them, especially in the field of the development of pedagogical and administrative supervision.
3. Maintaining the university's statistical card and updating it regularly.
4. Preparing media supports in the field of the educational path offered by the university and its professional outlets.
5. Providing students with all the information they need to choose their orientation.
6. Monitoring construction programs and ensuring the implementation of the university's equipment programs in cooperation with the relevant departments.
And it's includes the following departments :

• Department of guidance and information
• Department of monitoring construction programs and equipping the university

Department of monitoring construction programs and equipping the university

  • Head of Department :
This department is responsible for the following tasks :
1. Conducting investigations and collecting the necessary information to prepare development plans for the implementation of investment projects, whether in the field of construction or equipment.
2. Proposing, based on needs, to the central departments of the supervising ministry the registration of investment projects in the field of construction or equipment.
3. Preparing, after the approval of the supervising ministry, the mechanisms and legal procedures for the implementation of the projects to be carried out, where it prepares the specifications for the programmed projects, advertising through national advertisements for competition, preparing the agreements and contracts resulting from the competition after evaluating the bids of the tendering companies.
4. Field and financial monitoring after the start of the implementation of the registered development projects.
5. Receiving the completed projects, whether they are centrally managed, such as those managed by the University Directorate, or decentralized, such as those managed by the Directorate of Housing and the Directorates of Public Equipment
6. Taking care of the equipment of the scientific research laboratories.

Department of statistics and foresight

  • Head of Department :
In general, the tasks of the Statistics and Foresight Department can be summarized as follows:
1. Preparing annual statistics on the university's structures and student population growth, and the division provides the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with these statistics through:

.Preliminary statistical survey for the start of the university year.
.Final statistical report.
.Human resources statistics.
.University services and cultural and sports activities statistics.
.Statistics related to scientific research.
.Statistics of Algerian male students related to national service.

2. Providing the Directorate of Programming and Budget Monitoring and the Directorate of Organization and Public Affairs with periodic statistics on structures and students and updating them as requested.
3. Collecting the necessary elements for the preparation of the university's development plan projects.
4. Conducting a foresight study on the expected development of the university's student population and proposing measures to cope with it, particularly in the field of pedagogical and administrative supervision.
5. Maintaining the university's statistical card and ensuring that it is updated regularly.

Department of guidance and information

  • Head of Department :
The tasks of the Guidance and Information Department can be summarized as follows:
1. Preparing media materials in the field of the educational path that the university includes and its professional outlets.
2. Guiding students at different levels and accompanying new students with providing information related to the university.
3. Putting at the disposal of students all the information that can help them choose their orientation.
4. Promoting student information activities.
