University Of M'Sila
The establishment began in 1985 with the opening of a higher education institute in mechanics, followed in 1989 by those of civil engineering and urban technology management. In 1992 it became a university center and in 2001 it achieved university status3 with four faculties and 23 departments4. According to the university statistics for the year 2013, the number of faculties and institutes increased to 7 and 2 respectively. However, the number of research laboratories within the establishment which are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has increased from 7 to 23 laboratories.
