What is the Erasmus+ programme?
Erasmus+ is a programme launched by the European Union (EU) in 2000 and continuing to this day, focusing on the fields of education, training, and youth.
Education, training, and youth are key areas that help individuals—whether from EU member states or other countries outside the EU participating in the program—to ensure their personal and professional development.
The program offers comprehensive and high-quality training, enabling participants of all age groups to acquire the qualifications and skills necessary to ensure their active participation in society, develop their understanding of other cultures, and facilitate their successful transition into the labor market.
Program objectives
- To support the educational, professional, and personal development of individuals in the fields of education, training, youth, and sports in Europe and beyond, through lifelong learning, thereby contributing to sustainable development, creating quality jobs, achieving social cohesion, and fostering innovation.
- To promote the mobility of individuals and groups for learning purposes, as well as collaboration, quality, inclusion, equality, excellence, creativity, and innovation at the organizational and policy levels in the field of education and training.
