Strategic_Plan_2026_2030

On a day when the future of our institution is being shaped by the hands of its youth and the minds of its men and women… On a day where wills unite and ideas intertwine to weave a single, collective vision…

Monday, March 9, 2026 — a date to be inscribed in letters of light within the records of Mohamed Boudiaf University – M’Sila. The university has swung its doors wide open toward an extraordinary foundational phase, launching the preparation workshops for the University Strategic Plan 2026–2030. This ambitious roadmap will define the features of our institution for the next five years, setting its steady compass toward scientific excellence, academic leadership, and active engagement with its socio-economic environment.

These consultative workshops commenced in an atmosphere of seriousness and enthusiasm, under the direct supervision and presence of the Rector, Professor Ammar Boudelaa. His personal oversight stems from a firm belief that building a future vision can only be achieved through active collective participation and open dialogue involving all segments of the university family. Joining him were the Vice-Rectors, Deans and their deputies, heads of university interfaces, heads of departments, representatives of laboratory directors and scientific councils, program coordinators, and dedicated faculty and students who answered the call of belonging and carried the torch of shared responsibility.

These workshops are not merely a passing event; they are a pivotal milestone in the strategic planning process. They serve as a methodological tool for genuine listening to the field—objectively diagnosing the university’s reality by highlighting strengths to be reinforced, boldly addressing weaknesses and shortcomings that require development, exploring available opportunities to elevate the university’s standing, and preparing for the challenges and threats posed by a changing environment.

The current sessions focus on the First Strategic Pillar: Education, the fundamental cornerstone of any academic institution, divided into two integrated workshops:

  • The First Workshop: Chaired by the Vice-Rector for Pedagogy, Professor Noureddine Chikouch. It addresses undergraduate and postgraduate education (Bachelor’s and Master’s), discussing the alignment of specializations with labor market needs, the quality of pedagogical programs, modern teaching and evaluation methods (including digital and distance learning), and enhancing graduate employability and university-industry links.

  • The Second Workshop: Chaired by the Vice-Rector, Professor Mahmoud Hasbaia. It focuses on third-cycle education (Doctoral studies), addressing the quality of scientific supervision, the integration of students into research laboratories, encouraging high-impact international publishing, consolidating research ethics against the challenges of AI and plagiarism, and supporting innovation and research entrepreneurship.

This effective consultative journey will continue, enshrining the approach of sustainable consultation chosen by the university leadership as the path to building its future.

These are not just workshops… they are a historic foundational moment in which we write together—with one will and one heart—a bright new chapter in the history of our beloved university. May we all rise to the level of this great trust.
