The Faculty of Arts and Languages organized a seminar on March 5, 2023, titled “Is ChatGPT a Friend or Foe to the Teacher?” The seminar was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Sennousi, who provided valuable advice based on his extensive experience on how to enhance the teaching of written expression and academic writing in the post-AI world.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Languages, the Head of the Foreign Languages Department, the Chair of the English Department, and heads of various departments and specializations. A number of specialized professors also participated, sharing their important insights to enrich the seminar. Student attendance was notably high, reflecting their commitment and interest in artificial intelligence, especially as many of them belong to Generation Z (the new digital millennium generation).
