Department of Political Science

The Institute of Legal and Administrative Sciences was established during the 1997/1998 academic year as part of the University Center of M’sila. With the growing interest in the faculty and a desire to expand training fields, the Department of Political Science and International Relations was opened during the 2002/2003 academic year. Following the issuance of Executive Decree No. 12-361 dated October 8, 2012, the faculty was renamed the Faculty of Law and Political Science.
As part of the transition to the new LMD education system (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate), two training fields were opened:

  • The first: in Law.
  • The second: in Political Science.

The 2009/2010 academic year witnessed the graduation of the first class holding a Bachelor’s degree under the new LMD system.
