About the Library
Library Building
The new library building was opened in 2003 and consists of:
- Ground floor: Includes a bookstore for students and professors in the field of specialization, along with two internal offices and a lobby for students and professors.
- First floor: Includes a reading room, a memorandum room, and an administrative office.

Direction:
It is managed by a library manager who oversees all library operations, both administrative and technical, in coordination with the college administration, such as:
- New admissions
- External relations
- Receiving students and listening to their concerns
Loan Department: Performs the following tasks:
- Following up on library registration for faculty and students
- Following up on internal and external loan processes for faculty and students
- Renewing lost library cards
- Issuing a certificate of clearance to graduating students

Bibliographic Guidance and Research Service: Among the service’s tasks and services:
Ensuring bibliographic research for researchers and training users on the use of library tools.
Managing the process of updating the library’s general catalogs through descriptive and analytical cataloging.
Receiving, guiding, and counseling students and professors.
Informing about the lending system and internal regulations.
Bibliographic research: The department has an automated catalog, allowing students and professors to conduct bibliographic research by catalog (authors, titles, and subjects).
Supervising interns and students from the Institute of
Documentation and Libraries within the framework of practical training.
Documentary Fund Management Department: This department coordinates between the processing staff at the warehouse level to determine the new acquisition list, process it, and then enter it into the lending process. The most important features of this department are:
- Ensuring all types of cataloging operations.

Automated search
It includes the use of the library’s automated catalogs to search for information sources inside and outside the library. Users can search automatically from inside and outside the library via the Internet in Arabic and French for all of the library’s holdings.
