**4. Content and Context of the Training**
The 19th century is a turning point in shaping the contemporary Arab political landscape, driven by political, economic, cultural, and social movements within Arab societies. This period saw the emergence of indigenous political ideas (Islamism, Arabism, etc.) in response to Western expansion, which reshaped the Arab world into a landscape of occupation and varying influences.

**5. Objectives of the Training**
The specialization aims to provide in-depth knowledge of the contemporary social, political, and cultural history of the Arab world, equipping students with a high level of general cultural awareness.

**6. Skills Targeted by the Training**
– Creation, presentation, and processing of documentary collections: Identifying diverse sources and available documents (texts, artifacts, etc.), as well as written, auditory, and audiovisual archives; understanding methods of collecting and presenting sources; mastering the use of IT tools for assembling parts.
– Conducting independent scientific thinking: Building on synthesis and critical reading of references, this phase will develop skills in organizing work in stages, developing contradictory arguments, and understanding the rules for presenting a range of critical references and bibliographies.
– Mastery of oral presentation techniques: Focusing on the verbal presentation of works.
