
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Kamel BADDARI, Visits M’sila University for Work and Inspection
Professor Kamel BADDARI, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presided over an official ceremony at M’sila University. He was accompanied by the Wali of the Wilaya, Mr. Nedjmeddine TAYAR, as well as local elected authorities, executive bodies, security officials, and the Rector of M’sila University, Professor Amar BOUDELLA. The ceremony honored student entrepreneurs from the university’s startup initiatives and university staff supervising key strategic projects.
The ceremony featured a speech by Professor Amar BOUDELLA, highlighting achievements in supporting entrepreneurship and fostering student innovations. For his part, Mr. Nedjmeddine TAYAR, the Wali of M’sila, praised the scientific stature of M’sila University and acknowledged the state’s ongoing efforts to support startups within the region through various funding programs. In his address, Minister BADDARI encouraged students to continue their research and innovation endeavors, emphasizing their role as a “soft driving force” in the national economy. He assured students of the government’s commitment to supporting their initiatives, in line with the directives of President Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE.
As part of his visit, Minister BADDARI inspected the development of the M’sila University Technology Park (Technopark) project, expressing his admiration for its progress. He announced the allocation of financial resources to initiate the project’s implementation, with the ambition of making it the largest technopark in the country.
The Minister then inaugurated the Center for the Development and Support of Entrepreneurship at M’sila University, where he reviewed key indicators of patents submitted and registered by university students. He urged the center’s staff to maintain the university’s tradition of excellence and leadership in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Additionally, Minister BADDARI, accompanied by his delegation, visited the university’s Business Incubator, where he engaged directly with student entrepreneurs. He also inaugurated the Startup Incubation Complex for student innovators at M’sila University, in the presence of Wali Nedjmeddine TAYAR, local civil and military authorities, and Professor Amar BOUDELLA. During this visit, the Minister toured an exhibition showcasing successful entrepreneurial ventures launched at M’sila University. These projects exemplified the university’s role as a hub for excellence and innovation.
The visit also included a direct dialogue between Minister BADDARI and student entrepreneurs, where he listened to their concerns and aspirations. He reiterated his encouragement for students to continue their efforts in research and development, assuring them of the full support of the country’s higher authorities and the Ministry of Higher Education.
The visit concluded with a major announcement from Minister BADDARI. Starting in January, all university students will undergo training in software, multimedia, and artificial intelligence tools. M’sila University will be the first in the country to implement this strategy.
