- He is the authorizing officer for the operating budget allocations delegated to him by the University Rector.
- He appoints the faculty staff whose appointment method has not been otherwise specified.
- He assumes and exercises hierarchical authority over all staff placed under his authority.
- He prepares the annual activity report and submits it to the University Rector after its approval by the Faculty Council.
- He attends the meetings of the Faculty Council.

The Vice-Dean in Charge of Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research, and External Relations is responsible for the following duties:
Monitoring the conduct of postgraduate entrance examinations.
Taking or proposing necessary measures to ensure the smooth running of postgraduate programs.
Overseeing the defense of postgraduate theses and dissertations.
Managing scientific research activities.
Initiating partnership projects with social and economic sectors.
Promoting and supporting cooperation between national and international universities.
Implementing programs to improve faculty members’ skills and update their knowledge.
Monitoring the activities of the Faculty Scientific Council and maintaining its archives.

The general secretariat of the faculty is responsible for :
- Prepare the project human ressources management plan of the faculty and assure successful the execution;
- Ensure career management process of faculty staff ;
- Essure the management and conservation of the archives and documentation of the faculty ;
- Prepare and Monitor Budgets of the faculty and assure the execution ;
- Promote scientific activities with the concerned structures of the rectorate, cultural and sporting activities for the benefit of students ;
- Manage movable and immovable means of the faculty and to ensure their upkeep and maintenance ;
- Ensure the implementation of the internal security plan of the faculty.
