The Faculty of Technology, in partnership with the Digitization Directorate, organizes an awareness day on the risks of misuse of social media
This morning, the Faculty of Technology and the Digitization Strategy Office organized an awareness day against the dangers of using social media in the Ibn Al-Haytham Lecture Hall at the university campus. The event aimed to inform and guide members of higher education and scientific research institutions about these risks, especially those related to privacy, security, and cyber threats.
The event was inaugurated by the Vice-President of the University in charge of scientific research, Professor Mahmoud Hasbaia, accompanied by the Vice-President of the Faculty of Technology, Professor Berabeh Fouad, and the Director of Digitization at the University, Dr. Farès Mazrag.
The event was organized by specialists in information technology, networks, and cybersecurity. They presented the various security and technical risks associated with the use of social media platforms. Other speakers discussed the social and psychological risks of misusing these platforms.
The event is part of the national campaign to raise awareness about the risks of misusing social media platforms.
