Given the connection between the element of empowerment and the capacity, strength, and achievements of benefit and value to society, the building of a knowledge society in the Arab region has become an urgent necessity for the process of construction, achievement, and competition in the era of intellectual and technical revolutions we live in.

In light of this evolving historical epoch experienced by the region’s peoples, which is characterized by cultural, social, economic, and political openness under the values of tolerance, coexistence, and respect for diversity, they have found themselves facing enormous challenges that require adaptation, harmony, and balance. The pursuit of empowerment and control over sources of knowledge, the building of intellectual capital, training in skills and capabilities, and the search for quality in education, among other things, have become the appropriate solutions to achieve goals and improve lifestyles.

In this context, several core issues arise, foremost among them the search for ways to raise the level of awareness and trust among members of society, so that they may recognize the reality of their communities, the opportunities and challenges they contain, how to deal with all these challenges, and how to overcome them and transform them into beneficial opportunities.
