Responsibilities of the Scientific Council of the Faculty
The Scientific Council of the Faculty is responsible for the following tasks:
- Organizing education and its content.
- Organizing research activities.
- Proposing research programs.
- Proposing the establishment, restructuring, or closure of departments, divisions, research units, or laboratories.
- Proposing the opening, extension, or closure of postgraduate divisions and determining the number of positions to be filled.
- Defining the qualifications and needs for faculty members.
- Approving postgraduate research topics and proposing committees for their defense.
- Proposing university habilitation committees.
- Reviewing the reports on the pedagogical and scientific activities of the faculty, which are sent by the Dean to the University President, along with the Council’s opinions.
- Considering any other matters related to pedagogical or scientific aspects referred to it by the Dean.
