At the level of each faculty at the university, the Scientific Council is considered the highest scientific entity, it undertakes all tasks related to scientific research in parallel with administrative work. The faculty scientific council is made up of members, elected as representatives of teachers, and other members such as the dean and his deputies, heads of departments, heads of scientific committees, laboratory directors and the director of the library. The scientific council feels the importance of the role entrusted to it in the management of the scientific affairs of the faculty, which is why all tasks related to the scientific aspect rely on it, such as approving master’s and doctoral projects. doctorate, proposing the opening or closing of specialties, distributing internships and scientific forums to teachers, also approving national and international exchange and cooperation programs, programming and approving the scientific activities of the faculty, in addition to that , he is responsible for distributing the members of the doctoral defense jury. Also, the president of the scientific council is considered an official member of the scientific council of the university, we can therefore say that the scientific council is the beating heart of the faculty.

Tasks of the college’s academic council
  • Organization of education and its content.
  • Organizing research work.
  • Research program suggestions.
  • Proposals for establishing or closing departments, divisions, units, and research laboratories.
  • Proposals for opening, extending and/or closing post-graduation divisions and determining the number of positions required to be filled.
  • Characteristics of teachers and the needs for them.
  • Approving postgraduate research topics and proposing committees to discuss them.
  • Suggesting university qualification committees.
  • Study of the outcomes of the college’s pedagogical and scientific activities, which the dean sends to the university president, accompanied by the council’s opinions.
  • He may come up with any other issue related to the pedagogical or scientific aspect that the dean presents to him.
