Call for proposals for the Erasmus+ 2026 program

Erasmus+ 2026 Programme

1. Call for Proposals

On the occasion of the launch of the call for proposals for the Erasmus+ 2026 Programme, the National Erasmus+ Office in Algeria invites higher education, research, vocational training, and youth institutions to submit their proposals in the following categories:

International Mobility Projects:

Academic Mobility, to facilitate the exchange of students and university faculty members.

Virtual Exchanges, to promote digital collaboration and interactive learning.

Youth Exchanges, with the aim of fostering intercultural dialogue and youth participation.

Cooperation Projects:

Capacity-building projects in higher education, vocational training, employment, and youth, to support institutional and sectoral development.

Erasmus Mundus courses, including joint master’s programs and design initiatives, with the aim of promoting academic excellence.

Jean Monnet Activities:

Study modules, research chairs, centers of excellence, and networks dedicated to promoting and deepening European studies.

With a budget of €5.2 billion, the Erasmus+ 2026 Programme is more ambitious than its predecessor (the 2025 Programme). The latest program enabled Algerian institutions to access nearly 300 exchange projects, benefiting hundreds of students, teachers, and faculty members, in addition to six capacity-building projects (capacity building in higher education, professional and technical capacity building, and capacity building in higher education) and two virtual exchange projects.

To facilitate understanding of the 2026 Erasmus+ program, the National Erasmus+ Office in Algeria provides project leaders with an application guide and explanatory brochures.

2. Scholarships for Students in Algeria: The Erasmus+ program offers two types of opportunities for students: International Mobility Scholarships (ICM): These scholarships are offered by Algerian higher education institutions that have partnerships with European universities within the Erasmus+ program. Interested students are advised to contact their institutions for detailed information about existing Erasmus+ agreements and application procedures. Erasmus Mundus Scholarships: These scholarships allow students to pursue a Master’s degree in Europe. To apply, applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree (graduates are also eligible). Applications are submitted electronically via the Erasmus Mundus guide
