Call for Proposals Launched for the African Think Tank Platform
I am honored to inform you that the African Union Commission organized, on July 24, 2025, a virtual meeting dedicated to the launch of the African Think Tank Platform (ATTP), which aims to support and strengthen African think tanks and their contributions to evidence-based policymaking across the continent.
As a reminder, the African Skills Training Program is an initiative launched in partnership with the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD). It will be financed by a $50 million fund, thanks to funding from the World Bank (WB), which aims to finance projects in the areas of economic transformation, governance, climate change, regional trade, food security, human capital development, and digitalization.
It is worth noting that the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Ambassador Salma Malika El Haddadi, officially launched this platform. In this regard, the African Union affirmed its commitment to supporting and strengthening the role of African think tanks and their contributions to various African Union policies and strategies, thus contributing to the achievement of the aspirations of Agenda 2063.
The Commission invited research centers interested in funding under this initiative to submit their projects by
September 24, 2025.
Application procedures and eligibility criteria are available on the ATTP website at the following link:

To participate, I would be grateful if you would invite research professors and/or permanent researchers, as well as members of thematic networks or others, to review the call and submit a list of proposals, submitted electronically, via email to prg.coopr@mesrs.dz.
The DCEU stands ready to provide support as needed.
Thank you for your cooperation.
