We congratulate Dr. Maamari Abdelkrim on his new book, “Forgery in Ancient Arabic Poetry,” in which he addresses an important critical issue: the doubts surrounding the attribution of pre-Islamic poetry to its authors. He examines the opinions of both ancient and modern critics, as well as those of Orientalist scholars who studied, analyzed, and critiqued ancient Arabic poetry.
