The Faculty of Arts and Languages, in coordination with the Laboratory of Theoretical and Applied Linguistic Studies, is pleased to invite all professors and researchers to participate in the international call for papers entitled:
📖 “Cognitive Linguistics Between Western References and Algerian Practice: An Inventory and Evaluation” 📖
Supervised by: Prof. Dr. Saleh Ghilous
Coordinated by: Dr. Iman Arioua and Dr. Awatif Jaghbalou
🔍 Call for Paper Themes:
This research project opens avenues for discussion on several key themes: 1️⃣ Algerian pioneering role in reception and translation: References, beginnings, and evaluation of the academic movement. 2️⃣ The architecture of meaning and the construction of concepts: Applications of conceptual metaphor and cognitive grammar. 3️⃣ Embodiment and Cognitive Experience: Manifestations of embodied experience in the Arab cultural context. 4️⃣ Outcome and Support: A critical historical reading of Algerian research achievements.
📅 Timeline (tentative):
⏳ Deadline for abstract submission: February 20, 2026. ✅ Notification of acceptance: Within 15 days of receipt. 📥 Deadline for full paper submission: April 1, 2026.
📝 Participation Requirements:
🔹 Research must be original and adhere to academic integrity. 🔹 Accepted languages: Arabic, English, and French. 🔹 Length: 4,000 to 6,000 words. 🔹 Adherence to APA citation style.
