With hearts wrung by sorrow and tearful eyes, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Mohamed Boudiaf University in M’Sila organized a memorial service on Thursday morning, January 22, 2026. The gathering was held to honor and pray for the soul of the late Professor Mimoun Hadda—may Allah have mercy on her and grant her a place in His vast paradise—in a scene that embodied the loyalty and gratitude of the university community for her lifelong dedication.

The proceedings began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the reading of Surat Al-Fatiha in a solemn atmosphere where grief blended with prayers, evoking the high standing the deceased held in everyone’s hearts.
Following this, the Dean of the Faculty delivered a moving speech, expressing profound sorrow over the loss of Professor Hadda. He emphasized that her passing was a true shock to the faculty and the entire university community, describing her as a role model of devotion and humanity, and a milestone in the faculty’s academic and human history. He added that she left behind a scientific and human legacy that will remain alive in hearts, noting that she was not just a professor performing a duty, but a warm human presence whose impact was felt in souls before it was felt in lecture halls.
For his part, the Head of the Psychology Department delivered a speech touching upon the academic and professional career of the late professor, highlighting her academic footprint, her contributions to training and mentoring, and the kind impression she left on her colleagues and students. The service included the screening of a documentary video showcasing the key milestones of her academic life and her contributions to the university.
The floor was also opened for testimonials from students who studied under her. They expressed deep gratitude for the knowledge and guidance she provided, remembering her noble character and her dedication to her duty.
The memorial concluded with a closing statement by the Dean, in which he reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to such noble initiatives and its keenness to instill a culture of loyalty and recognition within the university family. Finally, hands were raised in supplication, praying that Allah bestows His vast mercy upon the deceased and grants her family and the university community patience and solace.
