
Study Day for Security Directorate Cadres Under the Slogan: Artificial_Intelligence_in_the_Service_of_the_Algerian_Police Held at the Ibn Badis Hall, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Under the supervision of the Rector of Mohamed Boudiaf University of M’sila, Professor Ammar Boudlaa, and within the framework of cooperation between Mohamed Boudiaf University of M’sila and the Security Directorate of M’sila Wilaya, and in coordination with the University’s Artificial Intelligence House, a study day was organized on Monday, October 27, 2025, for the benefit of Security Directorate cadres.
The day was held under the slogan: “#Artificial_Intelligence_in_the_Service_of_the_Algerian_Police” at the Ibn Badis Hall in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The Rector was represented by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Professor Hassbaia Mahmoud, and the event was attended by cadres from the Wilaya Security Directorate, Vice-Rectors, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, and University officials.
This meeting aimed to introduce police cadres to the concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in the security field, highlighting its role in improving police performance, combating crime, digitalization, and developing administrative management methods.
The study day featured several quality scientific lectures presented by professors from M’sila University, focusing on:
- “Artificial Intelligence: Basic Concepts, Branches, and Applications,” presented by Dr. Said Kadri, Director of the Artificial Intelligence House at M’sila University.
- “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in the Police Field,” presented by Dr. Youcef Berik, Professor at M’sila University.
- “Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity in the Service of Police Work,” presented by Dr. Moussaoui Boubaker, Professor at the University of Al Bachir Al Ibrahimi Bordj Bou Arréridj.
The day concluded with academic interventions and rich discussions between the professors and security cadres, addressing ways to integrate AI technologies into police work to enhance the efficiency of security performance and service to the citizen.
