In a distinguished academic atmosphere reflecting the spirit of research and innovation, the First National Conference on Measurements and Sensors (FNCMS’2026) concluded today, Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The conference was hosted by the Faculty of Technology at Mohamed Boudiaf University of M’Sila and organized by the Laboratory of Signal Analysis and Systems, with the participation of a distinguished group of professors, researchers, and experts from various universities and research centers across the country.
The second and final day was marked by a rich scientific program, which opened with two valuable plenary lectures, including a presentation by Aissa Chouadar on SCADA systems and their role in the management and monitoring of large-scale photovoltaic plants, illustrated through a field case study conducted at the Ain El Melh photovoltaic station.
A second plenary lecture was delivered by Kamel Mebarkia on a modern classification algorithm based on adaptive and non-parametric approaches designed to achieve high accuracy in data processing.
The conference proceedings continued through scientific sessions addressing current topics in the fields of precision measurement, three-dimensional object tracking, Artificial Intelligence, and the challenges related to sustainable development. Participants delivered high-quality presentations that reflected the advanced level of research being conducted in these vital areas.
The scientific poster sessions also provided a dynamic and interactive platform, enabling researchers—particularly students—to present and discuss their work with attendees. This greatly enriched the scientific debate and further promoted opportunities for collaboration and exchange of expertise.
The conference concluded with an official closing ceremony dedicated to:
-
Honoring participants and keynote speakers in recognition of their valuable scientific contributions.
-
Acknowledging the efforts of the organizing and scientific committees, as well as everyone who contributed to the success of this event.
-
Reaffirming the importance of continuing such scientific initiatives, which foster research and innovation while strengthening partnerships between the university and its socio-economic environment.
Thus, the curtain fell on this distinguished scientific event, which served as a genuine platform for knowledge exchange and for exploring new perspectives in the fields of measurements and sensors.
With the hope of meeting again, we look forward to welcoming you next December for the International Conference, in a new edition that promises to be even more open, dynamic, and far-reaching.
Special thanks are extended to:
- Abdelkader Djerad, Dean of the Faculty of Technology
- Abdessalem Hsini, Director of the Laboratory of Signal Analysis and Systems
- Zine Ghmari, Chair of the Conference
-
Fares Haimer, Secretary General of the Faculty
for their valuable support and guidance, which greatly contributed to the success of this scientific event.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation also go to everyone who contributed, directly or indirectly, to the success of this conference.
