Launching an online training and educational program on intellectual property
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has announced the launch of an online training and educational program on intellectual property, starting next March, according to an announcement by the National Office for Copyright and Neighboring Rights.
This training program, specifically designed for Africa, aims to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge in copyright and intellectual property law through online courses, according to a press release issued by the office.
The two-month program includes two seminars to facilitate the exchange of experiences among participants and to discuss key common issues related to development and innovation on the African continent.
The courses offered by the program will cover copyright, trademarks, patents, industrial designs, geographical indications, traditional knowledge, and the links between intellectual property and development.
Registration is free and can be done online by sending applications (full name, surname, and preferred language of the course) to the email address: algeria.office@wipo.int before February 15, 2026.
