Opening Ceremony of the Third Edition of the National Project-0 Competition

The Faculty of Technology hosted the opening ceremony of the third edition of the National Project-0 Competition, dedicated to programming, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and design. The event was organized by the faculty’s Electronics Club, Elec Club – M’sila, in a distinguished academic atmosphere and with remarkable attendance.

The official opening ceremony was presided over by the Vice-Rector for Pedagogy, Professor Noureddine Chikouche, on behalf of the Rector, Professor Ammar Boudlaa, following the great success achieved by the previous editions of the competition.

 

This event was made possible through the continuous support and constant guidance of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Djerad Abdelkader, along with the Secretary General of the Faculty, Mr. Haimer Fares.

The competition witnessed remarkable participation, gathering 75 contestants from various universities across the country, representing several provinces, including: Sidi Bel Abbès, El Tarf, Batna, Constantine, Bordj Bou Arréridj, Sétif, Bouira, Mascara, Oran, Algiers, Jijel, M’sila, Khenchela, Tiaret, and Mila.

The competition also recorded notable international participation with students from Uganda, Mauritania, Russia, and the sister State of Palestine, reflecting the growing international dimension of this scientific event.

The opening ceremony was further distinguished by the presence of high-level guests from both within and outside the university, including:

  • The Vice-Rector for Pedagogy, Professor Noureddine Chikouche

  • The Vice-Rector for Development and Foresight, Professor Aïed Lamine
  • The Secretary General of the University, Dr. Allal Ali
  • The Secretaries General of the faculties and institutes, along with university engineers and administrative staff
  • The Director of Industry of M’sila Province
  • The Director of Culture of M’sila Province
  • The Director of Tourism of M’sila Province

In addition to the distinguished presence of professors, students, and staff members of the Faculty of Technology, all of whom contributed to the success of this important scientific event.

The Project-0 Competition is not merely a contest, but a platform for creativity, competition, and the exchange of experiences among students from various disciplines and nationalities.

The activities of the third edition of the National Project-0 Competition continued in an outstanding atmosphere marked by enthusiasm and a strong competitive spirit among students from different universities across the country.

The event took place under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Djerad Abdelkader, in the presence of the Secretary General, Mr. Haimer Fares, the Vice-Dean for Pedagogy, Professor Baali El Eid, and under the guidance of the club coordinator, Professor Tabbakh Mustapha.

All necessary arrangements were provided to ensure the comfort of the participants, including catering, accommodation, and healthcare services, contributing to the success of this scientific event.

In a moment filled with faith and serenity, the competition activities were paused on Friday, as participating students were accompanied to the main mosque at the Ennasr University Campus in the city center of M’sila, under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Technology and members of the organizing committee, to perform the Friday prayer. The atmosphere was marked by devotion and tranquility, followed by lunch in a friendly setting that strengthened the spirit of communication and fellowship among participants.

This scene reflected a strong sense of responsibility and comprehensive care for the participants, through ensuring an integrated environment that considered organizational, psychological, and spiritual aspects.

For the second consecutive night, the activities of the third edition of the National Project-0 Competition in programming, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and design continued in an enthusiastic atmosphere filled with the spirit of challenge and creativity, as participants kept demonstrating their best abilities across the various fields of competition.

Project-0… Where Creativity Meets Challenge to Shape Excellence

In a distinguished academic atmosphere, and in the presence of the Rector of the University, Professor Ammar Boudlaa, the curtain fell this evening on the activities of the third edition of the National Project-0 Competition in programming, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and design, after 36 continuous hours of dedication, hard work, and excitement.

In his speech, the Rector praised the tremendous efforts made by the organizing team, commending such scientific initiatives that promote the spirit of innovation and competition. He also highlighted the outstanding level demonstrated by the participating students from both 

The closing ceremony was also marked by the distinguished presence of several officials and personalities from both within and outside the university, including deans of faculties, vice-deans, central directors, as well as members of the media community, professors, students, and faculty staff.

This edition witnessed broad participation from students representing various universities across the country, including the universities of Bordj Bou Arréridj, Sétif, Khenchela, Batna, Sidi Bel Abbès, Oran, El Tarf, Mila, and Jijel, in addition to remarkable international participation from students representing Uganda, Mauritania, Russia, and Palestine, giving the event a distinguished national and international dimension.

Competition Results:

  • First Place: Team O_Day – University of Sidi Bel Abbès

  • Second Place: Team Chaos – University of M’sila
  • Third Place: Team Paranoid Android – University of Batna

During the closing ceremony, the participating teams were also honored in recognition of their efforts and active participation, which greatly contributed to the success of this outstanding scientific event.

Its conclusion was truly remarkable, worthy of the scale of the challenge and the spirit of creativity shaped by ambitious young minds, with hopes of meeting again in future editions that will shine even brighter.
