
M’sila University Celebrates World Mathematics Day
M’sila University commemorated World Mathematics Day, which falls on March 14th of each year, by organizing a study day. The event was held by the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science in the presence of the university president, Professor Amar Boudelaa, and the faculty professors.
The study day included three lectures presented by professors Abdelmajid Mairech, Abdelrachid Saadi, and Abdelhak Mokhtari. The lecturers addressed the applications of mathematics in other sciences and how this multifaceted science can be applied to understand kinetic, physical, and even natural phenomena in the universe. They also discussed how mathematics has contributed to humanity’s ability to face life’s challenges and adapt to profound changes in nature.
In addition, the speakers presented the history of mathematics from ancient times to the present day, highlighting the most important theories on which this science is based. The event also included a ceremony to honor the guest lecturers.
