1st National Tree Day (1JNA) M’sila 25 October 2017

On October 25, 2017, the Faculty of Sciences, Department of Natural and Life Sciences, organized the First National Tree Day (1JNA) under the theme “The Role and Importance of Trees in Supporting Sustainable Development.” This event was held to celebrate the significance of trees in the ecosystem and their central role in achieving sustainable development by helping to maintain environmental balance, combat climate change, and provide renewable natural resources.

The event brought together experts, researchers, students, and members of the community to participate in various activities aimed at raising awareness about the importance of vegetation cover and preserving natural resources. It featured scientific lectures and workshops on the role of trees in protecting biodiversity and contributing to economic development through the sustainable use of natural resources.

The event was chaired by the Honorary President, Prof. Dr. Badari Kamal, the University President, in the presence of Dr. Bensaci Ettayeb, the Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Bounar Rabah, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, reflecting the university’s commitment to promoting environmental issues and integrating them into sustainable development strategies.
