The Chemistry Department organizes a special scientific visit! 🌟
As part of activating pedagogical activities and in embodiment of #Decision_1275, the Chemistry Department – Faculty of Science organized on Monday, December 16, 2024, a field scientific visit for first and second year master’s students (Material Chemistry) to BCR Setif company, specialized in the manufacturing of faucets and gas bottle parts.
✨ Objectives of the visit:
- Understanding the stages of manufacturing faucets of various types.
- Exploring specialized factory departments, including:
- Sand molding production unit
- Copper melting furnaces unit
- Production unit of nipples and faucets
- Analysis laboratory
📚 Supervised by: Dr. Makrani Cheikh Dr. Yousfi Samia Mr. Zaroual Arabi Mr. Bahloul Ahmed Dr. Abdelhakim Khniesh (Head of Chemistry Department)
👨🔬 Visit activities:
- A tour inside the production units, where the factory engineers provided comprehensive explanations about all stages of faucet production.
- Discussion of mechanisms for transforming research ideas into innovative practical projects within master’s theses and startups.
🤝 Towards fruitful cooperation: An agreement was made to enhance the partnership between the Chemistry Department and BCR company through:
- Organizing field internships for students within the factory.
- Working on joint research to address industrial challenges in waste recycling and improving product quality and efficiency.
