The Sub-Unit for Quality Assurance at the Faculty of Law and Political Science – Mohamed Boudiaf University of M’sila organized, on Monday, April 27, 2026, an awareness seminar entitled: “Quality Management System in the University according to ISO 9001:2015 Standard.”
This event aimed to enhance students’ awareness of the culture of quality within the university, highlight their role as key partners in achieving continuous improvement, and introduce the importance of implementing the ISO 9001:2015 system in improving academic training and university services.
The seminar was attended by:
- Professor Gana Hussein, Head of the University’s Quality Assurance Unit
- Professor Azzouz Gharbi, Vice Dean in charge of Pedagogy
- Professor Rabii Ibrahim, Head of the Faculty’s Quality Unit
- Professor Zerrouka Ismail, Member of the Faculty’s Quality Unit
Along with student and administrative members of the unit, as well as a significant number of group representatives and students.
The seminar began with an opening speech delivered by the Vice Dean, in which he emphasized the importance of such awareness events in promoting a culture of quality and raising students’ level of awareness.
This was followed by the distribution of a questionnaire to students to assess their level of awareness of the quality system. The results were presented immediately, discussed, and analyzed by Professor Gana Hussein, giving them an analytical dimension and linking them to the theoretical framework of the system.
Professor Gana Hussein then delivered a presentation on the importance of quality management systems in the university environment, highlighting the central role of students as active partners in this process. This was followed by a presentation by Professor Zerrouka Ismail, who explained the principles of the quality system through simple real-life examples, making them easier for students to understand, with a focus on the student’s central role in the system.
The seminar also featured an intervention by student Amrou Zahra, who answered several questions related to the system and its importance. This was followed by an educational video on quality management prepared by student Mouloud Mehded El Amine.
Professor Rabii Ibrahim also presented an analytical reading of the “Student Guide to Quality,” explaining its main themes and implications.
The seminar included interactive workshops where students were divided into groups to discuss key issues they face and propose appropriate solutions within a participatory approach that promotes a culture of quality.
At the end of the event, an evaluation questionnaire was distributed, followed by the closing ceremony, during which Professor Gana Hussein was honored with a token of appreciation for his efforts in the field of quality assurance, and the winning student in the awareness competition was awarded the “Quality Awareness” medal.
