The event, organized by the English Language Monitoring and Training Unit at Mohamed Boudiaf University of M’Sila, took place in the Business Incubator Hall at the university campus. The theme of the event was “Opening Global Horizons Amidst Linguistic and Pedagogical Challenges.”
This academic event was attended by a distinguished group of professors and researchers, including Professor Ammar Boudlaa, the Honorary President of the event, Professor Dr. Linda Belabdelwahab-Fernini, the Chair of the event, and Dr. Salim Jerboui, the event coordinator.

The program included valuable presentations by a group of specialists, including Professor Fawzia Amrouche from the University of M’sila, Dr. Wiam Ouarnik from Ziane Achour University in Djelfa, and Dr. Mourad Touati from the University of M’sila. The speakers discussed the current state of teaching scientific subjects in English at Algerian universities and the pedagogical and linguistic challenges associated with implementing this approach.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for professors to exchange views and experiences on mechanisms for developing modern teaching practices and to explore ways to create a suitable pedagogical environment for the transition to English as a language of science and knowledge. This would enhance academic competitiveness and open international opportunities for students.
