Study Day on the Olive Tree and Olive Oil Production – Faculty of Sciences

The activities of the Study Day on the Olive Tree and Olive Oil Production commenced on the morning of Wednesday, 26 November 2025, in the Doctoral Hall B8 at the pedagogical complex. The event was organized in conjunction with the celebration of the International Olive Tree Day, observed annually on 26 November.

The opening session was chaired by the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Sciences for Scientific Research, Professor Ameur Ouali, representing the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Professor Rabah Bounar. The event was also attended by the Head of the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Dr. Mourad Hamdani, and the Chair of the Study Day, Dr. Ahmed Saad, who delivered a welcoming address highlighting the significance and objectives of this scientific gathering in strengthening research and promoting the exchange of expertise in the fields of olive cultivation and olive oil production.

The event featured the participation of a distinguished group of academics, experts, investors, and farmers, who contributed through insightful presentations and the sharing of advanced field experiences. The program also included an exhibition dedicated to olive products and premium extra-virgin olive oils, presented by farmers and producers who have achieved top international rankings in professional competitions held in Italy, Tunisia, and Egypt.
