Chess Stars Championship ♟️ Third Edition at the Faculty

In a distinguished academic and competitive atmosphere, University of Mohamed Boudiaf of M’sila hosted today the activities of the Chess Stars Championship, organized on the occasion of Yawm al-Ilm, with the participation of students from various institutes and faculties.

This event was organized in coordination between the Sub-Directorate of Activities and the student services, in collaboration with the Ouled Derradj Castle Chess Club and the Hilal Chess Club of M’sila, which contributed to the success of this remarkable scientific and cultural event.

The competition was also held in the presence of several members of the university community, including:

  • Vice-Deans of the Faculty of Law and Political Science and faculty professors
  • The Secretary-General of the faculty
  • The Sub-Director of Cultural and Sports Activities
  • Heads of activity departments across various institutes and faculties

This gave the event a distinguished official character.

Championship Results:

  • 1st place: Student Ben Moussa Amir – Faculty of Law and Political Science
  • 2nd place: Student Zine Kheireddine – Faculty of Economics, Business and Management Sciences
  • 3rd place: Student Barakat Khaled – Faculty of Technology
  • 3rd place (tie): Student Behilil Mohamed El Amine – Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science

Women’s Category:

  • 1st place: Student Afafsa Hajar – Faculty of Sciences

Objectives of the Championship:

  • Developing students’ mental abilities and logical thinking
  • Promoting a spirit of positive competition among students.
  • Creating a space for communication and exchange among students

Special thanks and appreciation go to everyone who contributed to organizing and making this event a success, especially Mr. Kanfoud Mourad, President of the Ouled Derradj Castle Chess Club and his team, and Professor Ben Arib Abdelraouf, President of the Hilal Chess Club of M’sila, as well as all supervisors, organizers, partners, and participating students who made this event a success with their high sportsmanship.
